Meillä on ollut hyvin aikaa tehdä veneen huoltotöitä ja lukea vaikkapa kirjoja. Aamukävelyt rantavedessä ovat olleet myös nautinnollisia. Olemme saaneet nauttia myös ystäviemme seurasta. Bartin perhe vieraili viimeksi tänään veneellämme ja illalla Gloria ja Les tulevat veneellemme.
Nyt aukeava sääikkuna tarjoaa meille mahdollisuuden lähteä huomenna lounaaseen kohti Porto Santoa. Parin ensimmäisen vuorokauden sää on meille suotuisa, mutta tuulten kehittyminen jatkossa on vielä arvoitus.
We made a wise decision by staying in harbour some days ago. The wide and very deep Atlantic low has influenced also weather here and given strong S-SW winds and heavy rain. We have had now time to take care of boat, rest and even read books. Walking by the seaside during mornings has also been enjoyful.
We suppose to get finally a better " weather window " and are ready to loose the ropes on Sunday noon. The aim is to sail SW where Porto Santo and after that Madeira are situated. The weather after 2 days is not any more so predictable and we are checking the weather via SSB daily. The fact is that when we are " out " you can not do much than just to change course so as to get a better angle to the wind.
We are glad to still before departure meet Bart and his family and as well Gloria and Les.
